Miner Status Page Explained

Numerous unfamiliar acronyms and numbers are displayed on the Miner Status page when you log in to your miner online.

To help you better understand what the information on the Miner Status page means, we will define these acronyms and numerical values.

The page is split into 3 big sections:

1. Summary

2. Pools

3. ANTMINER

In the “Summary” Section

ANTMINER KA3 Operation Monitoring
TermsMeaning
Elapsedthe duration of the miner’s operation. According to the screenshot above, this miner has been operating for 17 days, 16 hours, 8 minutes, and 51 seconds. It takes a miner around 20 minutes to start operating steadily.
GH/S(RT)The current hash rate of your miner. The letter “G” is a number prefix, which is 109 in this case.
GH/S(avg)the average hash rate of your miner over the period of time. It should be noted that different miner models have varying hash rates, and as a result, the prefix varies.
FoundBlocksThe number of the block that the miner assisted the pool in cracking. Because you are mining with a pool, the numbers do not necessarily mean that you are receiving the full block payment. The amount of your payout will depend on how much work your miner put into solving this block (if reported).
LocalWorkWork that is available to your miner from the mining pool.
UtilityThe amount of shares or contributions that your miner submits each minute.
WUWork unit.
BestShareShows the difficulty value corresponding to the lowest hash value that your miner has put out so far. The highest hash value that can crack a block will depend on how difficult the puzzle is. The block has been solved by you or the pool if your miner or pool calculates a hash value that is less than that upper limit. (The share that your miner submitted that had the highest difficulty over the course of time).

In the “Pools” Section

ANTMINER KA3 Operation Monitoring
TermsMeaning
URLYour pool’s server addresses for mining.
UserYour mining pool’s worker name.
StatusPool status. “Alive” means the miner can connect to the server. “Dead” means the miner is unable to connect to the server. As long as one of the three status has “Alive”, no action is required.
DiffMining difficulty.
Accepted sharesWork that was submitted and approved by the pool by your employee.
Discardedshares that were never added to the pool. This could happen because someone solved that share first, or maybe the block was solved and the miner restarted the work.
Stalework that your miner put forth to mine a block that has already been cracked.
LSDiffThe time since the last share is indicated by the Last Share Difficulty and LSTime.
DiffA#Difficulty of the last “A”ccepted share.
DiffR#Difficulty of the last “R”ejected share.
DiffS#Difficulty of the last “S”tale share.

TermsMeaning
Chain#Connected to a hash board is the control board’s Chain#.
ASIC#the quantity of connected working chips on a hash board. Check my miner’s specifications >
FrequencyHash board frequency.
GH/s (ideal)Expected or ideal hash rate. The letter “G” is a number prefix, which is 109 in this case.
GH/s (RT)Real-time hash rate. Please take note that the prefix varies depending on the miner model due to the different hash rates.
HWHW errors or faults. In a well-functioning miner, hardware errors are common and expected. Because the chips are operating at maximum capacity, hardware errors happen. In most cases, the miner fixes the issue and keeps hashing normally. No action is required if the miner is hashing correctly because it is fixing the mistakes.
Temp chipTemperature of an ASIC chip.
Temp PCBPCB temperature. Check your miner’s normal operating temperature here >
ASIC statusNormal status: “0” means normal, you should find 63 (or the number of chips in your specific miner) “0”s in this field. Abnormal status: “X” means that a certain chip is not working. If ASIC# number is 100 and in the ASIC status the number of “0”s is less than 100, it means some chips are missing or cannot be detected. Missing Chips >
FanFan speed at rpm.

What Do Antminer KA3’s Signal Lights Mean?

ANTMINER KA3 Operation Monitoring

A. Yellow light at the ETH port

B. Green light at the ETH port

C. Fault light(red)

D. Normal light(green)

  • The status of the indicator light changes during the server startup

1. The fault and running indicators will illuminate simultaneously when the machine is turned on, and the initialization process will begin.

2. Once initialization is complete, the machine begins to connect to the mining pool, the fault indicator flashes, and the operation indicator turns off.

3. The running indicator will flash, the running indicator will go out, and the hashrate will appear following a successful connection to the mining pool.

  • Find server by indicator light

1. Log in to the background interface, click System→Locate,

2. Click “Star Blink”,the server fault light and normal light will flash for 300 seconds at the same time

3. The server fault light and regular light will start operating normally after 300 seconds if you wait or click the Stop Blink button.

  • 19 series server search instructions

1. Log into the background interface,

2. Open the “Locate Miner” in the upper left corner, at this time it is green, and the sever fault light and normal light will flash at the same time,

3. When closing the “Locate Miner”, at this time it is grey, the miner positioning will be stopped.

Fault 1:

Go to the background to check the log and confirm whether the server has the following faults.

1. Whether the server is high temperature or low-temperature protection

2. Check if the network is normal

3. Check if the fan is normal

Fault 2:

1. Check if the mine pool configuration is correct

2. Upgrade firmware

Fault 3:

1. The network connection is not normal, check the network status for high latency

2. IP is incorrect or IP conflict

Fault 4:

If the control board is faulty, use the SD card to upgrade the control board or replace the control board

Fault 5:

If the hash rate value is lower than 90% of the normal value, check if the network latency is high,

  • ETH port light

1. Normal status: yellow light long light, green light flashing

2. Fault status: the yellow and green lights are not on

Reason:

①The network cable may not be plugged in properly, you need to re-plug the network cable;

②The control board may be damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced;

③The switch needs to be turned on because it is not powered at the other end.

How to Set a Static IP Address?

Follow the steps to get your static IP address set:

1. After logging in to your miner’s User Interface, click the “Network” tab and choose “Static” from the “Protocol” drop down list.

2. Your IP address, subnet mask, SWG, and DNS should then be entered.

3. Click “Save&Apply“, and there you have it!

*NOTE: You may skip this step if you have less than 3 miners (You may skip at your own discretion, static IP is not required for less than 3 miners)

Continue setting up your mining pools and begin mining after your network settings are correct. Antminer KA3 Manual.
